Work, food, and getaways

I have no qualms about working on weekends. For me work comes first, so if I’m required to finish a shoot, it will definitely be my priority irrespective of the day. These days I’m busy shooting for Kittu Sab Janti Hai which is aired on Sahara One.

But when it’s my day off I like lounging at home and spending time with my mom and my dog. Playing and chatting with my dog Candy, who is a seven-month-old labrador works as a great stress buster for me. I usually step out of the house on Saturday nights to have coffee with my friends but just hate the idea of visiting swanky hotels. Instead I prefer places like Ayub’s in Colaba for its yummy kebabs and Bade Miya for its mouth watering sizzlers. Though I don’t go out shopping very often but whenever I go abroad I shop so much that when I’m back I don’t require to buy anything for next three four months.

While many people enjoy reading books on weekends I’m too restless to sit patiently to finish a book. But yes, I enjoy cooking and try most of my mom’s recipes. I can say that I’m not a bad cook and specialise in making good biryani chicken with gravy. But these days I don’t get the time to indulge in cooking because of my busy schedule.

But whenever I get weekend breaks my favourite destination is Goa and that’s not because of the scenic beauty and beaches alone but also because my friend runs a shack there. Once you are there you don’t have to worry about looking for a beach bed and your favourite food is quickly served to you. I feel so much at home there — surrounded by good friends, wonderful ambience and pleasant weather — what more can you ask for?
