I often work on Saturdays and Sundays. But when I am not working, I like to chill out with friends. We go for long overnight drives to places near Mumbai city such as Pune, Lonavla or Gorai. They do not take long because they are just one-and-a-half hours away from Mumbai.
The last time we went for a weekend trip to Gorai, it was fun. About seven or eight of us went over to stay at a friend?s house. Gorai is like a mini Goa. It has the beach. Further, the lush greenery and the roads remind you of Goa. We went during the monsoons and after dinner we played Dumb Charades and Pictionary. In the morning we went for long walks in the open. It is very refreshing, especially when you are used to living in Mumbai.
It was lovely to explore the place because Gorai is home to an old Christian community. So there are quaint houses with narrow alleys and vineyards. Otherwise when I am sitting at home, I like to read. Now that the football season?s here, I plop down in front of the television with a bowl of popcorn at times and watch the Premiere League. Friends often come over and give me company. I like my friends to be around me on holidays. On Sundays, I cook a late brunch of eggs with bacon and ham and baked beans for myself and my friends if they are at my place. And, of course, at the end of the week I love sweating it out at the gym.
