Saturday for me, is probably just about the busiest day of the week. That’s because every Saturday, without fail, you’ll find me at Someplace Else right from 6 in the evening to believe it or not, 4 in the morning. I do get breaks in between, when other bands perform, but even then, obviously, I can’t go very far. So, I wander around in The Park itself, hang around at Tantra or Roxy or drop into The Atrium for a bite. My friend Sumit Mitra is the deejay there, so I spend some time listening to his music, or occasionally even join him in spinning some tracks. After all, I can’t stay away from music for long!
After a hectic Saturday, Sunday is devoted almost exclusively to the family ? my wife Denise and two daughters, Nikita and Lianne. I surface really late, at about 2-3 in the afternoon, and then enjoy a leisurely Sunday lunch with them all. After that, we just hang out together, maybe helping our kids with their homework, and when evening comes it’s time to head to Christ The King for mass. It gets over by 8pm, after which we usually go to Tangra for Chinese, before calling it a night ? quite early as the kids have school the next day. If however, by some chance, Monday happens to be a holiday, we chill out at the DI with friends till late in the night. These evenings though, end no earlier than 11.30pm, so they’re inevitably the exceptions, rather than the rule. It’s usually always about exclusive family time.
