My life revolves around my passion, which is dancing. When I am not performing out of station and am at home, I get up at 5 in the morning and start practising my steps. By 8.30 am, my students start tripping in. I teach them till 2 in the afternoon, after which we sit down and have lunch. Usually some of my students stay behind for a meal. This is the routine that I follow on both Saturdays and Sundays.
Post-lunch in the afternoon, I catch up with reading and writing. When I am at home, I just watch news on the television. Otherwise I do not watch the soaps, in fact, I have no idea about their existence. And I also do not go to theatres to watch the latest films. What I love is reading, which is why you might just spot me in a bookshop. I love going to Bahrison?s or Manoharlal, where I check out the catalogues. I am not much of a shopper however.
Since my family is not here ? my husband is in Thailand and my son is in Vienna, my family comprises my students. In the evening, I meet up with friends at their places or mine. Or when I have any brainstorming to do or meet up with somebody, I might land up at the India International Centre.
