My first car was a Riviera red Wagon R that I bought five years ago. We had a car before that, but this was a special, impulsive buy for me. I went and bought it with my own money. Though I freely used Kaushik’s car before, I badly wanted to have my own set of wheels.

Being an impuslive buy, rather than a need-based one, I went with the latest model in the market — a Wagon R at the time. The colour of course, had to reflect my passion for the car.

I haven’t done up the interiors much. It came with a great sound system and I keep my car pretty clean. That’s about it.

Now of course, with my son, Ujaan growing up, it’s turned into a family car. Kaushik and I switch cars as and when needed.

But yes, my Wagon R is special to me. Buying it allowed me to have a little more freedom and I’m very happy that I decided to give into my impulse.
