Triplets Avantika, Aahana and Aarav Dosi take a break from non-stop fun. Their playtime favourites at home are building blocks, cycling and watching TV and at the carnival it was the octopus-shaped bouncy that had them all charged up.
The lawns of the Bengal Rowing Club turned into a carnival with La La Land, presented by BRC Kidsology in association with Telekids, on April 6.
Rock climbing, zip line, obstacle combat course, bouncies and more kept around 300 children aged six months to 12 years high on fun.
The event also saw the launch of Kidsology Club with a promise of more such fun events in future.
“I realised there was not much for the kids to do when they come to the club with their parents. Kidsology is an attempt to tap their energy and involve them in fun activities,” said BRC president B.K. Saria (inset). “Every alternate Friday, there will be events for kids. With the Kidsology club, they will be able to enjoy many more privileges.”
Arushi Nemani scaled the 16ft-wall like a rock-climbing pro. She glided on the zip line with equal ease. “This was my second time on a zip line. I was scared the first time but I enjoyed it. I wish I could do it for longer,” said the Class II student of La Martiniere for Girls.
A pool of plastic balls in bright shades kept (l-r) one-year-old Innaya Ganeriwala and two-year-old Pranavi Kejriwal busy for hours as their mums took a stroll in the lawns.
(L-R) Cousins Aavya Agarwal and Sadhya Saraf, both students of La Martiniere for Girls, love doing the sister act at home, besides playing board games. At La La Land, they had fun blowing bubbles. “Whenever she comes home, we play together and also watch a lot of TV,” said Aavya, a Class I student.
Amaira Nayyar, a Lower Nursery student of Indus Valley World School, was busy at a sandpit, away from all the hullabaloo of the carnival.
Samaira Nemani, a Lower KG student at Modern High School for Girls, played home with a kitchen set placed outside the tent in the camping zone.
This little one dressed in a bright pink skirt and matching pink socks had her style game on point. “I love bouncy. Mom takes me to the bouncy at a mall near my home,” said Riana Mehta, a Lower Nursery student of La Martiniere for Girls.
The trampoline got the little ones on a jumping spree.
This Captain America fan from Mumbai was visiting his cousins in the city during his term break. Sporting his favourite superhero on his T-shirt, he posed with a gun and a hat in the selfie corner. “I love Captain America because he has a shield and is very brave,” said Aarush Goyael, a Class IV student of PG Garodia School.
