Pilot, photographer, singer and doctor... little girls let their imagination run free on the ramp in a fashion show designed by Shaila Jassal, a member of The Saturday Club.

Eat healthy. Talk healthy. Stay healthy. That was the mantra of Fun Fitness Fest, presented by The Saturday Club and partnered by Telekids on April 1.

Fitness enthusiasts, sportspersons, nutritionists and doctors took part in four panel discussions on fitness and lifestyle choices for children. The first panel, headed by nutritionist Hena Nafis, discussed the importance of sports and fitness in a child’s daily life. The focus of the second panel was creating a positive body image and how parents can avoid body shaming, while the third panel dealt with lifestyle challenges faced by teenagers. Childhood obesity was addressed with sensitivity by the fourth panel of the day.

Parents had a wonderful time learning about myths and the importance of fitness for kids, while a host of fun-filled activities kept the children happy and busy.

Khushi Agarwal, a student of Lakshmipat Singhania Academy, gets pampered at the hairstyling corner. Freelance beautician Khyati Majithia gave Khushi some beautiful curls.
Birthday girl Anshi Lodha walked the ramp for the fashion show as a singer — just what the Lower Nursery student of La Martiniere for Girls wants to be when she grows up.
“I wanted to spread awareness among parents about child obesity and tell them how our lifestyle can add to the problem,” said Hena Nafis, nutritionist and curator of the event.

Parents and their children were taught correct postures in a session conducted by wellness expert Varuna Shunglu.
