It’s winter and just the time of the year to indulge in some duck delicacies. In keeping with its annual tradition, Chowman is hosting a duck festival at all its outlets. Think roasted and barbecued duck with Chinese herbs and spices.

Start your meal with a light Duck Noodle Soup with Shredded Roasted Duck. For starters, the menu has five dishes covering a range of flavours — from mint, lemon and chilli to aromatic Asian and sweet honey-soya sauce. Moving on to the mains, try their roasted duck available in three different sauces — five-spice, mushroom and Tausi. You can also ask for the duck meat to be cooked in a sauce of your choice!

“This is like an annual affair for us and we do this during winter because the best quality ducks are available in this season,” said Debaditya Chaudhury, managing director of the Chowman chain of restaurants.

How does he go about creating a new duck festival menu every year? “A lot of research has to be done, for which I keep travelling to Hong Kong and China. Since we have a loyal client base, they expect something new every year. This year we have introduced these new sauces like the mushroom sauce and the brown Tausi sauce,” said Debaditya.
