Cool off with ice cream cakes

Vanilla, Belgian chocolate and mint are some of our favourite ice cream flavours. And Black Forest and chocolate are a cake lover’s delight. Now, imagine the two coming together in one gooey bite. That’s what Anisha Aggarwal and her team are laying out this summer — the ice cream cake.

If the ice cream cakes were exciting, magician Maneka Sorcar added to it with a trick — she got a slice of cake to “levitate”! “I think the tag line for these celebration cakes should be — heavy on taste but light as a feather! There’s hocus-pocus with every bite,” she said. Maneka’s favourite? “Choco Fantasy.”

“Ice cream makes people happy and it’s a part of every celebration just like cakes. So we decided to combine the best of both worlds and give double the joy to people with ice cream cakes this Poila Baisakh and Baisakhi,” said Anisha, director, Rollick Ice Cream.   

t2 dropped by to taste ice cream cakes at the flagship Rollick parlour at India’s Hobby Centre on Park Street on Monday. Now that’s called the icing on the cake!

Choco Fantasy 
With vanilla and generous dollops of chocolate, Chocolate Fantasy is what dessert dreams are made of. The creamy cake instantly melts in the mouth. Rs 450 for a two-pound cake
 
Black Forest 
With cherries, chocolate and ice cream, this is Rollick’s take on the classic Black Forest cake. 
Rs 500 for two pounds 
 
Belgian Chocochip 
Loaded with chocolate chips and thick fudge, this ice cream cake is rich and sinful. It has dark chocolate and gooey brownie. 
Rs 550 for two pounds 
 
Mint Chocochip 
This one comes with a hint of mint and the creaminess of ice cream and chocolate. Wait for that surprise choco chip! Rs 500 for a two-pound cake
