AN EVENING WITH KK
What: CC&FC presents KK Live in association with t2
Where: CC&FC
When: January 23; 7.30pm onwards
The Pyaar ke pal singer will be back to one of his “most frequently-visited cities”. “I was in Calcutta recently. Something or the other keeps happening there. I love the people, the food and the vibe. Excited to be there,” KK told t2 over phone. This would also be his first time at CC&FC and he is looking forward to performing at the “prestigious club” and entertaining “a huge crowd”.
What bowls over the Yaaron singer about Calcutta is the discerning listener. “I have always had a great audience there. They listen to a mix of songs. You can perform whatever you feel like and they are with you… they enjoy the slow, romantic ballads and rock as well as the fast, up-tempo songs. It’s like a mixed bag that I normally have on stage, so I get to perform a whole spectrum and I enjoy it,” he said.
KK fans can look forward to a playlist that’s going to feature hits like Pyaar ke pal, Tadap tadap ke, Koi kahe and Tu jo mila. “I love to talk less and sing more,” he said. There just might a surprise element too. “Something that I haven’t performed in a long time, I might just perform something special for Calcutta,” he laughed. A few lines in Bengali? KK is not ruling out anything!
