We all know that breakfast is the day’s most important meal. This is because after a long time without eating, one’s blood sugar levels are low. So a nutritious breakfast is the perfect way to give your metabolism a kickstart.
Some studies have also shown that eating a high carbohydrate breakfast makes you more alert through the day. Now if you’re not in the habit of eating anything, at least start with a glass of fresh juice or even a smoothie with a slice of toast.
Having said that though, there are many who are just fed up of having the same old stuff like cereal, eggs, toast and fruit. It’s all about experimenting! For instance bananas are excellent when baked. Try this easy recipe: bake 4 bannanas at 200?C till black on the outside. Take the juice of 2 oranges, 1 lemon, 100 gm brown sugar; 3 tbs brandy and 8 green cardamoms. Simmer to form a thin syrup. Pour over bananas and serve hot.
Today we can get nearly every kind of fruit very easily. Regular fruit like bananas, papayas and pineapples are easily affordable. But the fancier fruit you get ? you have to pay for their sensual flavours as also for the fact that these are deliciously healthy. It all depends on how you feel and on your budget.
