Hawa hawa, Ghoomar, Ooh la la — Bolly beats kept the guests on their feet. 

New Town Business Club presented Midnight Heat with t2

Mood & Music: DJ Gaurav and singers Durnibar and Priyani Vani made it a rocking NYE party at New Town Business Club. While Durnibar sang popular Bengali numbers, Priyani chose Bollywood crowd faves, like Hawa hawa, Ghoomar and Ooh la la.

Munch Menu: A wide variety of starters, including Chicken Wings, Mutton Keema Ball and Chicken Pakora, was followed by an elaborate North Indian spread. The pop pick? Rabri with Jalebi. Whisky, vodka, wine and rum were the tipple of choice.

Club speak: “This is the second year that the club is organising this party and the footfall touched around 800. So, we are extremely happy,” said Anindya Chatterjee, committee member, New Town Business Club.

Kala chashma, Swag se swagat, Despacito and Shape of You were some of the dance faves of the night. 

Club Verde Vista by Conclave presented 2017 Red Carpet Night with t2 and Captain Morgan

Mood & Music: Keeping to the theme of a red-carpet night, singer Debanjali Lily sang pop numbers like Tamma tamma again, Balma and Sara zamana, while dance troupe Movers performed to a mash-up of romantic and peppy tracks. To ring in 2018, DJ Anil churned out Bolly hits and hip-hop, Kala chashma and Swag se swagat to Despacito and Shape of You.

Munch Menu: Mughlai, Amritsari, Chinese — guests had a wide range of bites to choose from. Fish Koliwada, Rawalpindi Chhole and Hyderabadi Kachche Gosht Biryani were the dinner faves, while Gajar Ka Halwa and Butterscotch Ice cream with Caramel Sauce were the must-have desserts.

Club speak: “Like every year, Club Verde Vista has got an overwhelming response for its New Year’s Eve event. We had a footfall of close to 1,000, who enjoyed being the stars of the evening,” said Nitin Kohli, business head, Ambuja Neotia Hospitality.

Dance time was also family time!
Russian belly dancer Olha impressed everyone with her graceful moves.
Black and bling was the mantra for this duo as they jived to current hits. 

Happy Bluezz Year 2018 at Agora The Club in association with t2

Mood & Music: DJ Prince kept the party peeps on their feet as he churned out Bollywood and EDM chartbusters. Russian belly dancer Olha added to the mood as she grooved to desi beats. The midnight moment was marked by a fireworks display.

Munch Menu: Sri Lankan Chicken, Corn Cheese Tiki and Idaho Crunch were popular dishes among starters, while for the main course, Patiala Murgh, and Goan Fish Curry kept the hungry tide happy. Baked Rosogolla and Rainbow Monte Carlo ended dinner on a sweet note. 

Organiser speak: “It was a great New Year’s Eve party with around 500 people enjoying at one place. After the success of the evening, we promise that next year’s party will be much bigger,” said Niloy Datta, director, Camellia Group.

Swissotel Around the World New Year’s Eve with t2 

Mood & Music: While DJ Nilashree and DJ Sunit kept the crowd busy with Bolly and Punjabi numbers at Splash, DJ Koushik’s mix of Bollywood and commercial tracks got everyone grooving at Maaya.

Munch Menu: From a European spread at Cafe Swiss to the Indian affair at Durbari, food was the star of the celebrations. Biryani and kebabs were the most popular picks at Splash.

Organiser speak: “All our expectations were met. We had a pretty good turnout of around 475 people. Splash had the best turnout amongst all the places at Swissotel,” said Pawaninder Sondhi, marketing manager, Swissotel Kolkata Neotia Vista.

NOVOTEL UNDER THE STARS with t2 

Mood & Music: The man behind the console, DJ Aziz, spun a variety of Bollywood, EDM as well as commercial tracks through the evening. The song of the night? Swag se swagat, which was played thrice on popular demand.

Munch Menu: While starters such as Achaari Paneer Tikka and Amritsari Machhli flew off the counters, the main course had a good mix of comfort food like Mutton Biryani, Dal Makhani and Paneer Butter Masala.
 
Organiser speak: “Our terrace alone hosted over 250 guests, whereas the entire hotel received a footfall of around 500. It was a pretty great night for us,” said Isha Sehgal, marketing and communications manager, Novotel Kolkata Hotel & Residences.

We loved how she showed off some serious bhangra swag.

THE PEERLESS INN PARTY with t2

Mood & Music: DJ Suraj kept the crowd on the floor with techno, international, Bollywood and trance numbers. The guests grooved to his mix of ’90s songs and current hits like DJ wale babu, Badri ki dulhania, Let’s nacho, Kar gayi chull and Kala chashma. 

Munch Menu: The kitchen offered finger food like Vegetable Spring Roll, Achaari Paneer Tikka, Prawn Pepper Salt and Mutton Shami Kebab. The crowd also enjoyed flambe cocktails and shooters.

Organiser Speak: “This was the first year that we organised something of this sort and we had a great turnout. We are very pleased with the kind of enthusiasm and acceptance we have received from guests,” said Debasree Roy, president, Peerless Hotels.

IBIZA presented ARABIAN THEME PARTY with t2

Mood & Music: True to the Arabian Nights theme, there was a belly dance performance. That apart, DJ duo Tejash & Jesmin started off the party with retro hits and then switched to commercial as well as Bollywood faves — Tamma tamma again to Chalti hai kya 9 se 12 to Kar gayi chull.

Munch Menu: The dinner buffet consisted of 30 regional dishes from all parts of the country. Top draws included Chicken Chettinad, Mutton Rogan Josh, Afghani Fish and Paneer Pasinda. At the dessert counter, Chocolate Rosogolla hit the sweet spot for most.

Organiser speak: “For us it was a fabulous night as the guests really enjoyed, and the party went on till 2am. On behalf of the management, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all our guests, sponsors and my colleagues for making this event a grand success. We will surely organise a bigger party in 2018,” said Subhadip Basu, general manager, Ibiza The Fern Resort and Spa.

AFRAA presented A NIGHT IN CAIRO with t2 

Mood and music: When the theme is Egyptian, can a belly dancer be far behind? Next, DJ D-Punk took the console and spun hits like Despacito, Shape of You, Havana, Faded and The Final Countdown, apart from Punjabi dance tracks that kept the guests jiving and jumping all evening.

Munch Menu: Wasabi Green Peas, Bengali Style Fish Nuggets and Chicken Dumplings were some of the popular starters. The dinner buffet had faves like Mutton Biryani Calcutta Style and Lagan Ka Murgh. New Year Gateaux, and Orange and Basil Ice Cream made for sweet surrender. 

Organiser speak: “Afraa has continued to be the popular place for the young generation to usher in New Year,” said Nitin Kohli, business head, Ambuja Neotia Hospitality.

Hyatt Regency Pirates of the World with t2 

Mood & music: DJ Romon Roychowdhury kept the dance floor packed with his mix of international and Bollywood tracks, while Russian belly dancers kept the crowd entertained. The countdown to midnight was accompanied by a fire-juggling show by the bartenders. 

Munch Menu: In keeping with the coastal theme, the kitchen explored West Indian, Jamaican, Caribbean and Goan cuisines, rustling up delicacies like Castaway Chicken Breast, Jolly Roger’s Barbecue Rib and Cajun Spice Salmon. South Indian dishes like Subz Haleem and Bendakaya Vepudu were also available. The guests finished off with sweet treats like Strangers Stormy Tide and Bloody Red Sparrow. 

Organiser speak: “We had a  happening New Year’s Eve. Great decor with big ships and pirate lounges made it the extravaganza of the year,” said Birgit Holm, general manager, Hyatt Regency.

Club Eco Vista by Conclave  presented Moulin Rouge with t2

Mood & Music: DJ Aditya, singer Doyel Goswami and the dance troupe Movers made for a memorable NYE party at Club Eco Vista by Conclave. Themed ‘Moulin Rouge’, the party decor got everyone talking and clicking selfies. Emcee Oiendrila led the countdown to the New Year and the guests ushered in 2018 with kisses, hugs and selfies with their loved ones. 

Munch Menu: The club spread out a range of cuisines, from Amritsari to Mughlai, but the Chinese counter attracted the most crowd. Corn Fried Rice, Flat Noodles with Manchurian and Garlic Sauce and Cauliflower Fish in Ginger Garlic Sauce were the pop picks, while Hot Tea Cake with Chocolate Sauce and Gajar Ka Halwa were big hits in the dessert section.

Club speak: “Club Eco Vista welcomed 2018 Moulin Rouge-style, with emcee Oiendrila, singer Doyel Goswami, dance troupe Movers and DJ Aditya, and unlimited food and beverages,” said Nitin Kohli, business head, Ambuja Neotia Hospitality.

Indismart Hotel Breakfree Nite with t2 

Mood & Music: DJ Pray-M, DJ Rudra and DJ R-T3N rang in 2018 with Bolly hits and international chartbusters, while contests like ‘Best Dressed Couple’ and ‘Best Dancing Couple’ added to the excitement. At midnight, everyone screamed “Happy New Year!”

Munch Menu: Phuchka, Seafood in Tangy Dressing, Red Thai Chicken Curry and Stir Fried Fish in Coriander Sauce were the hot faves, while Red Velvet Cheesecake and Plum Pudding were the dessert picks.

Club speak: “I think we at IndiSmart Hotel have been successful in helping our guests have a wonderful time in the final moments of 2017 and welcome the New Year with nothing but smiles,” said Mrinmoy Bose, general manager, Indismart Hotel.

Midnight moment was a festive affair with a burst of confetti.

The HHI Grand New Year Bash with t2

Mood & Music: The Underground Hangover Sunrise Party (Infi-night) at Hotel Hindusthan International saw revellers burn the dance floor till 4am as DJ Tishya and DJ Haym ushered in the New Year with tracks like Despacito, Swalla and Swag se swagat. A special performance by international dancers from the UK added to the festive vibe.

For the Aloha Hawaiian Party at the poolside, Bolly singers Kamran Khurshid and Ritwika churned out party faves like Shape of You, Cheap Thrills and Ghoomar.

Munch Menu: The Aloha Hawaiian Party offered a mix of Thai, Italian and Goan cuisines, while Infi-night was all about quick bites like Basil Chilli Chicken and pizzas.

Organiser speak: “Our patrons and guests had a lovely time ushering in 2018 with great entertainment and delicious food and beverages. Both the parties were well-attended,” said Rodney Kaypee, general manager, HHI.
