Calcutta, Aug. 28: Mumbai-based Raabta Communications has roped in the effervescent Ruby Bhatia as brand ambassador for its communications and soft skills finishing school venture — Aria. Bhatia has signed an exclusive contract for three years, starting today. The former veejay has been involved in developing modules for some of the courses. She will also tour the country to conduct special workshops.
“Aria is the first effort of its kind in the country. The courses offered will help students develop communication skills and help the all-round personality development of an individual,” says managing director Khalid Jamal.
The courses will deal with understanding the communication process, effective body language, listening skills and developing and managing confidence. Aria also offers courses on board room etiquette for top and middle-level executives.
The company will set up 50 centres across the eastern region, of which five centres will be in Calcutta. “The pilot project was conducted in Hyderabad. We also have an exclusive lab in Mumbai. There are plans to set up 100 centres in India within the next three months,” adds Jamal.
Speaking on the revenue generation model, Jamal said that earnings would be mainly from license fee from franchisees and royalty. The first year of operations is expected to generate revenues of Rs 15 crore.
