The shortage of semiconductors impacted car sales as Maruti Suzuki India saw a 4 per cent fall in the total wholesales to 153,149 units in December 2021.

While the total sales grew by 22 per cent in the calendar year 2021, Hyundai Motor India saw domestic sales decline by 32 per cent in its December sales to 32,312 units from 47,400 units in December 2020.
