New Delhi, June 5: Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd has decided to go in for up-market motels at some of its petrol pumps at key locations on the national highways.

BPCL chairman S. Behuria, who inaugurated a swimming pool at the restaurant-cum-filling station complex on the Delhi-Agra highway at Mathura today, said that the first such motel would come up at this site. The motel will tap the tourist traffic on the Delhi-Agra highway.

He said the company plans to open 10 recreational outlets in the next five years at a cost of Rs 3.5 crore. It expects a return of 14 per cent on the investment.

Behuria said all BPCL outlets would be standardised to the maximum extent possible.
