Nearly two and a half years after acquiring a minority stake in Axiom Ayurveda, Emami is set to acquire the remaining 73.5 per cent stake in the maker of ‘AloFrut’ juice in a deal estimated to be around ₹200 crore.

Emami had picked up a 26 per cent stake in Axiom in 2023, marking its entry into the packaged juice business. While the definitive agreement was executed on Wednesday, Emami said in a statement that the fresh acquisition is expected to be completed in a phased manner over the next three months.

Commenting on the deal, vice-chairman and MD Harsha Agarwal said the acquisition aligns with the strategy of building a presence in emerging categories that match evolving consumer preferences, particularly in the health and wellness space.

“With the completion of the acquisition, we bring Axiom fully into the Emami fold, marking our formal entry into the fast-growing & huge beverage segment,” Agarwal said.
