Members of different women's associations march on Friday to protest against the sexual abuse of minor girls that has come to light from a shelter home in Muzaffarpur, and a rape case reported from Chhapra.

Bihar Mahila Samaj working president Nivedita Jha, who was one of the protesters, said the state government should make public the report of Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) which had first flagged sexual assault and abuse at shelter homes across Bihar, including the Muzaffarpur short stay home.

The protesting women also demanded that the girls from the Muzaffarpur shelter should be kept together at one place as like they want, and they should be counselled by trained counsellors. Text by Shuchismita Chakraborty, picture by Manoj Kumar
