Patna, July 24: A 25-year-old woman, wife of a prominent businessman in the city, and her lover were detained at the Gandhi Maidan police station.

The woman, a hailing from Ranchi, had gone missing from her in-laws’ house at Bhattacharya Road in Patna, in March this year.

Police said the woman and her lover were traced to Surat in Gujarat. “She was married to the businessman in 2008 but had an affair with a man working in a diamond factory in Surat. According to the woman’s statement, she and her lover had got married in a Ranchi court in 2005. This needs to be checked,” a police officer said.
