Gaya district magistrate Bandana Preyashi (left) distributes tricycles to differently abled people at Gaya collectorate on Thursday. The tricycles were distributed under the Mukhyamantri Samarthya Yojana to 48 physically challenged residents from the district. Under the scheme, a person having 40 per cent or more disability in the age group 10-64 years and income up to Rs 1 lakh are provided tricycles, hearing aids and other appliances (blind sticks and crutches). Thursday’s distribution was organised by the district social security cell.
