Patna senior superintendent of police (SSP) Manu Maharaaj at the Women’s Police Station after launching the video conferencing facility on Sunday. The station got connected with the district police headquarters through the facility. Maharaaj said: “The idea behind equipping this police station with video conferencing facility is to augment the process of investigation into the complaints by women. The senior police officers can now directly interact with the station house officer and enquire about the investigation progress. It will also help the officials dispose complaints related to atrocities of women.” The SSP said other police stations in the city would also be provided with similar facility.
