Patna, Jan. 21: The government today transferred eight IAS officers, including the principal secretary to governor. ELS Bala Prasad will be the principal secretary to governor, replacing Brajesh Mehrotra. Prasad was earlier holding the post of principal secretary of science and technology department.

Tripurari Sharan, principal secretary of the industries department, has been transferred to minor water resource department as principal secretary. Munger divisional commissioner Lian Kunga has been shifted to Magadh in the same capacity while R.L. Chongathu, commissioner of Bhagalpur division, has been given additional charge of Munger.

Principal secretary of agriculture department Sudhir Kumar would assume charge as chairman of Bihar Staff Selection Commission while Magadh divisional commissioner Vandana Kinni would be shifted to the social welfare department as its principal secretary. S. Sidharth, who was holding the post of secretary, labour, has been made secretary, industries.

Daya Nidhan Pandey, additional secretary, finance department, has been transferred to the general administration department whereas Mithilesh Mishra, director of land records and measurement, has been appointed managing director of beverage corporation.
