Search over tax evasion

• Patna, Oct. 10: CBI officials searched two premises in Patna on Tuesday to trace documents related to tax evasion by customs officials, including Navneet Kumar, deputy commissioner, Calcutta. Searches were also conducted on the premises of Mohammad Nasariuddin and his accomplices in Patna.

Assets case

• Patna: The vigilance investigation bureau on Tuesday filed a chargesheet against three persons, including Ramadhar Ram, a former executive engineer with public health and engineering department, in connection with a disproportionate assets case.

Accident

• Aurangabad: Two persons died and eight others were injured when a sports utility vehicle hit them near Basantpur village on Tuesday. The injured have been rushed to a government hospital.
