The Loyola alumni website |
Patna, Jan. 6: The Loyola Alumni Association, Patna, formed two years ago, has launched a website www.loyolaalumni.com recently.
The chairman of the association, also the principal of Loyola High School, Brother Felix, said: “Launching the website is an effort to get connected to the alumni across the world. Old students can be of great help to each other. It is always better to widen your circle of contacts. Moreover, reliving old memories with friends is a great experience.”
President of the association Amar Jaiswal said: “This has been done to reach out to the maximum number of Loyola alumni, especially those who are unaware of the alumni association. People staying across the world should know that their own school is always there to celebrate with them and relive the memories of childhood.” Rajiv Ranjan, a cancer specialist and a member of the association, said: “We are delighted that our association has launched the website. We love to meet our old classmates and enjoy with them. We try not to miss meeting them when the alumni meets up on special occasions.”
Loyola Alumni Association has around 80 members at present. Pawan Khemka is the founder member of the association. Vijay Kumar, a member of the association, is a commandant in CRPF, Hyderabad. Gaya district magistrate Sanjay Singh is from the 1986 batch and is also a member of the association. He said: “I am proud to be a Loyolean and whatever I am today is because of the school. Launching the website is a welcome effort to connect with Loyoleans. This way, the association will expand to a great extent.”
