Patna: Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Prasad Yadav on Sunday mocked Nitish Kumar by tweeting a graphic of the chief minister surrounded by scams.
The graphic mentions 13 scams, including the Srijan fund-transfer fiasco, the topper scam, the toilet scam, scholarship scam, stadium scam, school construction scam, medicine scam, uterus scam, estimate scam, Bihar Public Service Commission scam, lecturer scam and Indira Awas Yojana scam.
After of the list of scams, Tejashwi wrote in Hindi: "Someone who wears a crown of so many scams and who has stolen a thesis now talks about fighting corruption."
Corruption is one of three Cs that Nitish always maintains he will never compromise with, the other two being crime and communalism.
Tejashwi has started attacking Nitish on the three Cs. A few days back, the RJD leader had accused the chief minister of supporting communalism. Tejashwi had cited the example of BJP leader Giriraj Singh, and that of Ashwini Choubey's son Arjit Shashwat - claiming that Nitish never took any action against them which means he supports communalism.
JDU leaders hit back at Tejashwi, saying that it was during the regime of his parents Lalu Prasad and Rabri Devi that most scams took place.
"Tejashwi does not need to go anywhere to learn corruption because his guru is very much present in the house who can impart him training in corruption," said JDU MLC Neeraj Kumar. "He is playing a cat and mouse game on Twitter everyday just to ensure he stays in headlines. His father Lalu Prasad is scholar in the field of corruption."
Another JDU leader and chief spokesperson of the party, Sanjay Singh, also attacked Tejashwi.
"Every family member of Lalu Prasad is under the scanner of investigative agencies and soon Tejashwi and his family would be behind bars," Sanjay said. "Soon, a lock would be hanging outside 10 Circular Road residence."
Sanjay also stoked the embers in the RJD, saying that Tejashwi had hatched a pre-decided plan to humiliate senior RJD leaders at the party's foundation day programme.
