Patna, Dec. 18: The RJD has decided to utilise the Right to Information (RTI) Act to expose the “failures” of the Nitish Kumar government.

After working in a “wayward way” for a year, the RJD today decided to take up the RTI tool following a three-hour meeting that was attended by senior party leaders. The meeting was held at the party headquarters and discussed ways to nail the Nitish government next year.

“The meeting was significant from the point of making the RJD more strong. After threadbare discussions and debates on several issues, the party directed all its district presidents to use RTI as a tool to expose the Nitish government. The RTI will help the RJD to highlight the government’s loopholes and the false promises that Nitish is making to the people of Bihar,” RJD state unit president Ram Chandra Purve said.

“They have been asked to send RTI reports every month and the development taking place with any particular case. This is being done to reveal the real face of Nitish. The RTI will be the best weapon to attack the government, particularly on policy-making issues and investment,” he added.

The RJD has also directed the district presidents to ask party workers and supporters to host flags on their houses and vehicles. “This will make the RJD more popular and boost the morale of our party workers,” RJD secretary general, Ram Kripal Yadav said.
