| Aryabhatta Knowledge University vice-chancellor SN Guha presents a memento to deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi at the institute’s third foundation day ceremony on Tuesday. During his speech, Modi said there had been significant development in the power sector and industry over the past seven years that the NDA coalition had been in power in the state. The second phase of the NTPC unit at Barh is expected to become operational by November this year. It would generate 1,320MW of which 660MW would be provided to Bihar. Guha highlighted several problems faced by the institute because of delay in getting a permanent campus. “Set up in 2010, the university has had four temporary campuses. But the construction of our permanent campus is yet to begin.” Modi assured the university administration that the construction of the new campus in Mithapur would begin by the middle of this year.
