Gaya, July 29: A complaint was lodged with Magadh Medical police station against junior doctors of Anugrah Narayan Medical College and Hospital (ANMCH) for allegedly beating up attendants of a patient yesterday night.

Lakhibagh resident Akhilesh Sharma alleged that junior doctors on duty in the emergency ward beat up him and his son, Munna Kumar, on Monday. Akhilesh claimed to have suffered injuries on the head in the attack.

ANMCH superintendent Sudhir Kumar Sinha gave a different version of the incident on Tuesday.

“I inquired into the incident. Senior doctors on duty said the complainant, in a drunken state, misbehaved with the junior doctors. A case would be lodged against Akhilesh and his relatives also,” said Sinha.

The statement recorded by the ASI of Kotwali police station was forwarded to Magadh Medical police station on Tuesday evening.
