Pappu Yadav announces the formation of his Jan Adhikar Party (in picture by Ramakant Kushwaha) in New Delhi on Tuesday. The five-time MP, expelled from the RJD, dubbed the Lalu-Nitish combine as his "enemy no. 1" and made overtures to the BJP for an alliance in poll-bound Bihar. "This (Lalu-Nitish) is an unholy alliance. They think Bihar is their personal property. In Bihar, development is the issue, not caste and religion. If the BJP agrees with my agenda, then we can work together," he told reporters. (PTI text)
