Patna, Jan. 29: A seminar was organised by Bihar Industries Association (BIA) on the issue ofrehabilitation of sick and closed industrial units in Bihar on Saturday. tate industries minister Renu Kushwaha blamed non-co-operation by banks and other financial institutions’ as the reason for the failure of industrial ventures. The BIA members said rehabilitation of sick industries should be given utmost priority as about 50 per cent of the industrial units are either defunct or have been designated as sick, according to a study conducted by Chandragupt Institute of Management, Patna (CIMP). Patna: Unidentified criminals made an attempt to loot cash from an automated teller machine (ATM) of the State Bank of India at Brahmapur in Buxar district on Friday night. Buxar superintendent of police Upendra Sinha said the robbers barged into the ATM cabin after damaging the shutter and attempted to open it. They, however, they could not succeed in their attempt, he said, adding that intensive raids are being carried out in the area to apprehend those involved in the incident. Patna: The Bihar State Bar Council held a meeting on Saturday in which the matter of running evening courts was discussed. The members said despite written representation of the Bar Council and talks with the Chief Justice and also protests by advocates, no information has been received from the high court regarding the withdrawl of the notification of running or continuing the evening courts. Hence the Bar Council had no option but to call on the lawyers to abstain from work. Patna: A group of students ransacked a private coaching centre in the Pirbohore police station area, demanding a decrease in admission fees.
