New principal

Revenue feat

Motihari: East Champaran has collected 30 per cent more revenue than the target fixed by the government for the financial year 2011-12. District transport officer Dinesh Kumar Rai said the district amassed revenue of nearly Rs 11.6 crore against the target of Rs 8.5 crore, which was the highest in the state.

Patna: An FIR was lodged against one Sonu Kumar (25) for allegedly trying to rape a minor at the Purandarpur area under Jakkanpur police station on Friday around 2pm.

Accident

Patna: One person died while four others were injured after an autorickshaw in which they were travelling turned turtle at Jaiprakash Nagar under Jakkanpur police station on Friday around 2pm.

Trucks seized

Gaya: Around 110 trucks were caught at Dobhi checkpost since Thursday evening in an operation to check plying of overloaded trucks on the Grand Trunk road.
