Patna: The state government is eyeing around Rs 450 crore revenue through additional value added tax (VAT), which became effective from April 1. People in Bihar will now have to pay 1 per cent additional VAT on items included under the bracket of 12.5 per cent VAT. Items on which VAT was imposed at the rate of 4 per cent earlier, would not attract 5 per cent VAT. Patna: JD (U) MLA Rajiv Ranjan on Sunday demanded introduction of a system, which would allow voters to recall their representatives (MLAs and MPs) in case they were not satisfied with the performance of their representatives.
