Maoist arrested in Banka

Patna: Baidya Nath Tiwary alias Tunna Tiwary, a self-proclaimed zonal secretary of the Maoists was arrested from Samukhiya More in Banka district by a team led by Special Task Force deputy superintendent of police Neeraj Kumar on Thursday. olice said a laptop and some documents were seized from Tiwary’s possession, said to be a resident of Jharkhand.

Fine

Patna: The anti-rash driving cell formed in December last year has fined more than 200 bikers and recorded a fine of Rs 1.70 lakh in four months of its operation, police said.

Gaya: Cash, ornaments, demand draft, share bonds and fixed deposit papers worth around Rs 56 lakh were recovered from the Chanakyapuri residence of a mining inspector, Shambhu Prasad Sahu, posted at Gaya. Sahu and two others have been nabbed.
