HC on health scheme

Patna: A high court division bench on Monday directed the state government to strictly implement the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) scheme within six months. he bench also directed the government to file its report, with details of facilities being provided to every health centre in the state according to the guidelines of the NRHM.

Damages

Patna: Bihar Human Rights Commission chairperson Justice S.N. Jha on Monday directed secretary, home (special), to pay Sheikhpura resident Bhagwat Chauhan Rs 75,000 as compensation within six weeks for his unauthorised detention of nine months and 21 days.

Blockade

Muzaffarpur: Residents of Bochahan staged a four-hour blockade on the Muzaffarpur-Darbhanga stretch of National Highway-57 on Monday in protest against the murder of Ankit Kumar Thakur, a liquor trader, on Sunday evening.

Patna: CPI-ML (Liberation) would take out a rally from Kargil Chowk to R-Block on Tuesday to protest against price rise, unemployment, corruption and other issues, said state committee secretary S.D. Bose.
