Patna: JDU state president Bashishtha Narayan Singh on Friday announced names of Bihar Pradesh Janata Dal (United) office-bearers.he new office-bearers include 10 vice-presidents, 14 general secretaries, six secretaries, eight organisational secretaries, a treasurer and five spokesmen. Besides, 62 persons, including Nitish Kumar and chief minister Jitan Ram Manjhi, have been made members of the state executive committee while 72 persons are “special invitees”.

Patna: Assembly Speaker Uday Narayan Chaudary’s younger brother Ajit Kumar Chaudhary on Friday joined the BJP.

Patna: Narmada Bachao Andolan leader Medha Patkar on Friday attacked the Centre’s move to change the Land Acquisition Act. Patkar said in Patna the Modi government wants to favour industrialists and she would protest this.
