LOOK WHO'S HERE: Social activist Anna Hazare pays tribute to Jayaprakash Narayan at Charkha Samiti, JP's residence in Patna, on Sunday. Hazare landed in Patna on Sunday and praised Nitish Kumar but at the same time the veteran social activist took a dig at the chief minister over his political association. "Nitish is a person who is full of good thoughts and does good work. But he has to tolerate the company he keeps. He has to walk with them," Hazare said, without taking the name of any party or person. Hazare is in Patna to address a farmers' rally on Monday and garner support for his dharna in New Delhi on March 23 to press for the post of Lokpal and to raise agrarian issues. "Farmers are committing suicide in our country and it shows that the present government is not their well-wisher," Hazare said, demanding that the Commission for Agricultural Costs and Prices should be made autonomous like the Election Commission and farmers should be included as members. Hazare also criticised Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal, his former protest-mate, for apologising to former Punjab minister Bikram Majithia after accusing him of being involved in the narcotic drugs trade.
