Patna, Jan. 24: Students of Apparel Training and Design Centre-Indira Gandhi National Open University Community College will soon have an edge in the job market.
The institute has launched a computer-aided designing (CAD) course to train students.
The one-and-a-half month course aims at providing quality and accuracy in bulk.
Course co-ordinator Mukesh Kumar at a news meet today said: “The course deals with pattern-making, along with marking. This can be done in bulk and at one go. A tailor usually can do patterns on a single piece of cloth whereas CAD ensures it in bulk. About 500 pieces can be treated at a time and the number can be increased too. The method also ensures quality and accuracy in less time and manpower.” He added that 30 aspirants could seek admission for the course.
