Patna, July 21: Chandragupt Institute of Management, Patna (CIMP), is planning an academic tie-up with Isitech Business School, a Mauritius institution.

The tie-up will help in exchange of research, faculty members and students between the two institutions and would also include collaboration on international programmes at CIMP and Isitech Business School.

V. Mukunda Das, the director of CIMP, said the academic collaboration will open gates for investments in business, tourism, infrastructure development and other areas in both Bihar and Mauritius.

Das said: “A large number of people with origins in Bihar live in Mauritius. Many of them want to visit their ancestral place.”

Das said collaboration between Isitech and CIMP would help strengthen relations between Mauritius and Bihar.

“Once CIMP research scholars come back from Mauritius, they would be able to provide professional support to various government and private agencies to promote tourism and business,” he added.

Jyoti Anand, a final-year student of CIMP, said: “The tie-up with the Mauritius institution will be a big exposure for the students who can learn about each other’s language and culture.”
