Patna: Six youths, including two Muslims, have given the BJP office a new look ahead of party national president Amit Shah's July 12 visit.

The paintings have been themed on topics, which the BJP would like to present before voters in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.

The artwork has depicted some of the flagship schemes of the Narendra Modi government, including Jan Dhan, Mudra, Ujjwala, Make in India, Digital India, Krishi Bima Yojana among others.

A total of 31 such paintings have been made in the past five days and work on the art, each 7-5ft tall, started on July 4.

"We were asked to do something unique to decorate the party's premises ahead of the national president's visit to Bihar. We decided to use Madhubani painting to depict the flagship schemes of the central government," said Rakesh Sharma, a former student of College of Arts and Crafts, Patna, whose services are used by the BJP social media cell for graphics and caricature works.

None of the paintings has any message on the schemes in words. Rakesh said: "The painting communicate the message clearly."

Sharma, along with five other former students of the same college, have contributed to the new look.

The team comprised Sneha Kumari, Kalpana Kumari, Vatsayan Kumar and Samsher Warsi and Shoaib Ansari. None charged a penny for the work, which has left them tanned for staying under the sun for hours.

On what motivated them to work tirelessly for five days, Rakesh said: "My team were my juniors in college. They are convinced that the schemes, which have been depicted in the paintings have ushered in positive changes in the lives of people from all sections of society. With this in mind, we worked hard and the result is for everyone to see."
