Patna, April 27: Setting eyes on Akshay Tritiya, people are busy purchasing jewellery in bulk for the occasion. Shopkeepers, too, are coming up with offers and discounts to make the most of the season.

To make it customer-friendly, a few shopkeepers will continue their offers on jewellery till the wedding season ends.

Sharad Keshri, the owner of Hira Panna Jewellers, said: “We will continue our offers till the end of the wedding season, July 10. Customers will benefit more on jewellery purchase on Akshay Tritiya and can continue to do that till the wedding season. The offers have started and customers can avail the offers for a long time as Akshay Tritiya is on May 6.”

Keshri added: “At our shops on Boring Road Chowraha and Dakbungalow Road, we are not charging our customers on the making/labour of IGI-certified diamond jewellery. Moreover, customers will be getting a discount of Rs 100 on the purchase of every gram of 22-carat Hallmark gold jewellery.”

Hira Panna Jewellers is also offering a lucky coupon on the purchase of jewellery worth Rs 10,000. If a customer buys jewellery worth Rs 20,000, then two lucky coupons will be given. The lucky draw will be held on July 15.

Manish Gupta, the owner of Alankar Jewellers, said: “Customers are getting cent per cent discount on making/labour of diamond jewellery, whereas for gold jewellery, the discount varies from 50 to cent per cent.”

Tanishq, on Frazer Road, is offering discounts on the making and purchase of jewellery. Store manager Umesh Tekriwal said: “We are giving our customers up to 15 per cent discount on the purchase of diamond jewellery and up to 25 per cent discount on the making of gold jewellery. The offer will continue till May 8.”

Shalu Agrawal, a prospective customer at a jewellery shop in Patna, said: “The shops have come up with so many offers that we are bound to buy jewellery. Akshay Tritiya is important for everyone.”
