Patna: Patna Municipal Corporation will serve termination notice to one of its agencies involved in door-to-door-garbage collection on Tuesday, giving it seven days to explain reasons for poor service.
The civic body has claimed the agency Patheya has failed to collect garbage at most of the places it's responsible for. PMC will also review work of a second agency daily till November 20 because it too has been deplorable in garbage collection. If the second agency, Nishka, does not improve its work, harsh action will be taken against them too.
PMC commissioner Abhishek Singh took this decision at a meeting on Monday.
Singh said the civic body has found work of both the agencies to be deplorable.
"We are giving termination notice to Patna-based People's Association For Total Help and Youth Applause (Patheya) as its service is the worst. We are giving them seven days to explain why action shouldn't be taken against them. The Delhi-based Nishka Security and Intelligence Services would be given time till November 20. We have asked them to achieve at least 85 per cent of their target, failing which action will be taken."
Nishka, Singh said, has told the civic body about the hurdles they face in their work, including defaulters who were not giving the fixed monthly user charge.
