Bhojan ka Adhikar Abhiyan (Bihar) has welcomed the food security bill amid debates across the country.

“The bill has been passed in the Lok Sabha and this is a good sign as the poor would now be able to get food. They would get rid of hunger and malnutrition. On the other hand, many things/points have not been incorporated in the bill which should be there,” said its core committee member Shakeel said on Wednesday.

Shakeel added that food should be ensured to the people in any situation. Cash transfer should not be done since this might lead to non-security of food, he added.
