Patna, Aug. 6: A day after the chief minister offered BJP leaders a chance to join the cabinet after apologising for their deeds, the BJP and RJD attacked Nitish Kumar over his remark.

BJP state president Mangal Pandey today said within the next nine months, Nitish would apologise to the BJP for breaking the alliance. Similarly, RJD chief whip Samrat Choudhary said Nitish wanted to develop a relationship with the BJP by offering its members a chance to rejoin the cabinet after apology.

“It is a fact that nobody can stop Narendra Modi from becoming the Prime Minister and the day is not far when the protocol will force Nitish Kumar to welcome him at the airport. Not only that, he would even have to apologise to Modi for breaking the alliance with the BJP,” said Pandey.

On a question about the BJP raising the issue of his cabinet expansion, Nitish, on the sidelines of his weekly janata durbar said yesterday that if BJP leaders were so worried, they could apologise and rejoin the cabinet.
