A fire broke out in a thermocol factory in Patna City on Wednesday evening but no casualties were reported. Police suspect a short circuit triggered the fire.

Starting at 4.30pm, the fire soon spread across the factory in the Simli area, under the jurisdiction of Malsalami police station.

Residents called the police after which cops from at least three police stations reached the spot. Four fire tenders took around an hour and a half to control the fire.

Sources said the workers present at the factory escaped from the spot before the fire could spread.
