Patna, March 31: Central Industry Security Force (CISF) personnel today caught 24-year-old Sujeet Kumar at Jaiprakash Narayan International Airport for allegedly trying to travel to Mumbai with a ticket issued in the name of another person.

CISF sources told The Telegraph that a fake admit card in the name of one Krishna Kumar with the photograph of Sujeet was found in his luggage, following which he was handed over to the airport police station.

The incident occurred around 10am when Sujeet, a resident of Nalanda district, arrived at the boarding counter of IndiGo to board the Mumbai-bound flight, 6E 341 (Bangalore-Calcutta-Patna-Lucknow-Mumbai).

Upon verification of his tickets, the ground staff of Indigo found that the name on his ticket appeared as Sajeet Kumar, whereas the name on his voter’s ID card was “Sujeet Kumar”.

A CISF source said: “He first said he was going to Mumbai to appear for an interview. Then he said he was going to take an interview. The change in his statement made us suspicious and we checked his luggage and found an admit card with the candidate’s name mentioned as Krishna Kumar. But the photograph was of Sujeet. We called the Airport police station and later handed him over to them.”

“A complaint has been registered. We have called his parents and he could be released after they identify him,” the officer-in-charge at the Airport police station said.

Sujeet told The Telegraph that he was a second year student of PMCH. But he failed to produce his I-card.
