Event: Eye and dental check-up camp
Duration: Around three hours
Special attraction: The camp, conducted by Loyola Alumni Association for children belonging from the lower income group, saw about 200 kids turning up. Media co-ordinator Nikhil Anand said the children study in a special school for slum children called Montfort Literacy Centre run in the evening. Dr Rajiv Prasad and Dr Waqar Ahmad examined the eyes and teeth of the children, respectively.
St Paul’s International High School
Event: Annual sports day
Duration: Around four hours
Special attraction: Various types of races were conducted. The 100m, 200m, spoon and marble race and tug of war were some of the competitions held. School principal Barnali Sinha appreciated the efforts of the students. Aman Singh of Class IV was declared the best player. Sinha distributed the prizes and explained the importance of sports. She said: “It is very important to keep oneself fit and sports help a lot to achieve this. Not only this, it also develops team spirit.”

Special attraction: Amita Priyanshu of Class VIII danced on two songs, including Thare Rahiyo O Banke Yaar. School teachers M.K. Singh, G.K. Singh, C.K. Singh, Ashok Kumar Singh, Anjani Kumar Singh. B.K. Mishra and S.N. Singh, who completed 20 years in the academic session 2013-14, were felicitated.
