Bypass police in Patna City on Wednesday lodged an FIR against unknown persons in connection with the eve-teasing incident that occurred on the Sheetla Mata Mandir premises on Tuesday.

An officer at the police station said the person who was detained was released, as nobody identified him as as one of the teasers.

A group of five men tried to molest a mother-daughter duo working in a pulse polio camp. A home guard posted there tried to intervene, but was beaten up by the goons.

“A complaint was lodged by the home guard. One person was detained but verifications proved that he was not involved. An FIR has been lodged. The police are talking to the other eyewitnesses to get details about the physical appearance of the people involved,” Manoj Kumar, the station house officer of Bypass police station, said.
