Patna, Sept. 14: The countdown to fill up the board examination forms has begun for the CBSE students. The board authorities claim that the dates will be announced within a week.

K.K. Jain, the deputy secretary of CBSE, Patna, told The Telegraph: “We will announce the date for regular candidates to fill up forms within a week. They will get a month to complete the formalities.”

Amit, a Class X student, said: “My friends and I were worried about when the date for filling the forms would be announced.”

The students claimed that filling up forms was essential as it is only after completing the formalities do students start their final round of revisions.

Amit added: “Only after filling up of the examination forms will be able to go for the final round of revisions. My friends and I have planned to get together and study in a group. We will meet up at a friend’s place and study together. Group study is very helpful, as we can share what we have worked on.”

Private candidates who wish to take examination in this academic session will have to fill up the forms by September 15, though. They can collect the forms from the CBSE regional office. Meanwhile, students of classes IX and XI, who will take the board examination in 2013, will also have to fill their registration forms by September 15. If they miss out, they can fill up the online forms with a late fine by September 30.

Workshop

The three-day workshop on Adolescence Education Programme organised by Central Board of Secondary Education to empower adolescents with life-skills at BD Public School concluded today. The workshop witnessed nodal teachers from across the state acquiring skills under the programme, which is run by the Union ministry of human resource development.

The event was in continuation of an earlier event held at DAV, BSEB in August. Balram Kumar Singh, who was earlier master trainee at the earlier event acted as a resource person today. R.P. Shahi, the principal of Model School, Dalmia Nagar was also ppresent.

Shahi said: “It is the adolescent period when children have to be protected from stress and elders have to ensure that they don’t go on the wrong track.”

Singh echoed similar sentiments. He said: “It should be checked that they do not come in contact with cheap magazines or pornographic sites on the internet. They should be made aware diseases like HIV/AIDS.”
