CBI charge on official

The CBI on Tuesday filed a chargesheet against the then customs superintendent (OP), Motihari, Ram Kumar, in the court of special CBI judge Ajay Kumar Srivastava in connection with forgery charges in the department.

Patna: The CBI on Tuesday filed a chargesheet against the then customs superintendent (OP), Motihari, Ram Kumar, in the court of special CBI judge Ajay Kumar Srivastava in connection with forgery charges in the department. The CBI lodged an FIR against Kumar on June 28, 2017, on the basis of a complaint filed by the commissioner, customs (Patna) Vinayak Chandra Gupta. According to the chargesheet, Kumar had caused losses to the tune of Rs. 5.51 lakh. Kumar had allegedly forged the signature of deputy commissioner, customs, (Motihari), Pawan Kumar, and withdrawn travelling allowance from government accounts.
