Referring to the achievements of the players, Sandhu said they won medals in different championships and tournaments, including Asian Games and Commonwealth Games.

He said: “Thirty-two players (from different police organisations) took part in the Commonwealth Games in 2010 in New Delhi, where they bagged 17 medals, including four gold. Similarly in the Asian Games held in November 2010, 50 players took part in which they won 12 medals, including six gold, two silver and four bronze.”
