Diabetes camps

Patna: The Lions Clubs, working in over 200 countries with around 14 lakh members, will now organise regular free diabetic check-up camps besides organising various activities, including free yoga camps and meditation classes.

Report order

Patna: Road construction minister Nand Kishore Yadav on Thursday instructed officials concerned to send daily reports to the headquarters of the roads damaged due to flood. He instructed all the regional officials to be on alert to make the roads motorable so that commuters do not face any problems in the flood-affected districts.

Appointments

Patna: The state government on Thursday appointed Dinesh Kumar Rai, Md. Maqsood Alam, Abhijeet Kumar, Nandlal Arya, Anil Kumar and Purnendu Kumar as personal secretaries of the chief minister, tourism department minister, transport minister, urban and housing minister, industry and science and technology minister, respectively.

Arrest

Patna: Police on Thursday arrested four members of a gang involved in a series of thefts in automobile showrooms and other business establishments in Patna, SSP Manu Maharaaj said.
